Cristhiano is a multi-talented individual with a deep passion for films and traveling. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and has had the privilege of living in various cities around the world, including Rio de Janeiro, São Paolo, India, Spain, Portugal, California, Virginia, and New York.
With over 18 years of experience in the field, Cristhiano specializes in all aspects of TV, staged video, and live event production. Throughout his career, he has taken on diverse roles, showcasing his versatility and expertise. From assistant director and producer to editor, instructor, camera operator, and skilled video technician, Cristhiano can handle any challenge that comes his way. He excels at troubleshooting hardware and software issues on the fly, ensuring smooth and seamless productions.
Cristhiano's journey in the world of film began during his teenage years when he attended the Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center. There, he had the opportunity to work at the affiliated public access TV station (CPA-TV), gaining valuable experience in both live and staged productions. His enthusiasm and technical knowledge allowed him to assume a variety of roles, including TV and video producer, technical director, videographer, video editor, and camera operator.
After completing his university education in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he focused on direction and post-production, Cristhiano ventured into the advertising and marketing industry. He worked as an assistant director on high-end commercials, contributing to the creation of acclaimed projects such as "Obra do Berço," which won a prestigious Cannes Lions Award.
In New York City, Cristhiano further honed his skills as an editor, VFX artist, and post-production manager at the renowned New York Film Academy. Simultaneously, he freelanced while applying for a local union, IATSE Local 52, and worked on several prominent productions as a video assist playback technician on blockbuster series like "Men in Black" and the popular FOX TV show, "Prodigal Son."
Cristhiano's talent extends beyond the editing room. His short film, "Unbranded," was accepted into the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, where his contributions as a video editor and VFX artist played a significant role in its success.
Throughout his journey, Cristhiano has accumulated a wealth of experience in various roles, including marketing media producer, motion graphic designer, video editor, administrator, real estate marketer, content producer, project manager, assistant director, videographer, film editing instructor at the New York Film Academy, A/V Tech at Encore Global, and TV broadcast engineer at Charlottesville Public Access TV. This diverse range of experiences has shaped Cristhiano into the accomplished professional he is today, ready to take on new challenges and create captivating visual experiences
